First-time organisation setup

When you first sign in as the owner, a few things in the Organisation area are worth setting up early. Doing them in a sensible order saves rework later. This page is your checklist — each step links to a full guide.

You don't have to finish everything in one sitting. Come back any time.

The checklist

1. Fill in your company profile

Start with who you are. Add your company's legal name, logo and details. This information appears on documents Webelio produces for you (payslips, letters, offer letters) and on your careers page, so it's worth getting right first.

2. Connect your domain

If you want business email on your own address (like you@yourco.in) or a branded portal, connect your company domain next. Webelio shows you exactly which DNS records to add — you don't need to understand them, just copy them across. This step is also a prerequisite for Mail.

Domain and email

3. Invite your team and give them roles

Add an account for each person who needs to sign in, and give each one the right role in each product. A recruiter gets a Recruitment role; an HR person gets an HRMS role; and so on. You can link an account to an employee record now or later.

4. Check which products are active

Have a look at the Products screen to confirm the products you expect — HRMS, Recruitment, Mail — are switched on. Roles and areas only appear for products you're subscribed to, so if something's missing this is the first place to check.

5. (Optional) Add a branded portal address

If you'd like your team to reach Webelio at a friendly address such as hr.yourco.in, add a custom domain. Webelio sets up secure HTTPS for it automatically.

tip

If you're only using Recruitment for now and have no employees yet, you can skip payroll setup entirely. Do steps 1, 3 and 4 and start hiring. Add employees later, when you're ready.
