Compliance, minimum wages & tax window
The tabs that switch statutory rules on, hold your government registration numbers, and open the yearly tax-declaration window.
Compliance
Settings → Compliance is a list of toggle rows — one per statutory rule. Turn a rule on and Webelio starts calculating it in payroll; each enabled rule shows a Configure link for its details and registration number.
| Rule | Turn on when | Registration number to enter |
|---|---|---|
| Provident Fund (PF) | You have 20 or more employees (retirement savings) | PF establishment code |
| ESI (health insurance) | Employees earn ₹21,000/month gross or less | ESI employer code |
| Professional Tax (PT) | Your work-location state levies it | State PT registration number |
| Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) | Your state runs the fund | LWF registration number |
| TDS (income tax on salary) | You deduct tax from salaries | TAN |
| Statutory Bonus | You pay the annual bonus | — |
| Gratuity | You provision for gratuity in CTC | — |
Each rule applies at two levels: the org switch here turns it on for the business, and each employee also has a flag (defaulting from this switch) so you can exempt individuals. The compliance overview explains how that works.
Turning a statutory rule on or off changes take-home pay and employer cost for everyone it covers. Do it before you run payroll for the month, and read the relevant compliance page first so the numbers land where you expect.
First-time setup for all of these is on the compliance setup page.
Minimum Wages
Settings → Minimum Wages holds the wage floor Webelio checks salaries against. When you set up an employee's pay below the applicable minimum wage, Webelio shows a warning so you can fix it before it becomes a compliance problem. It's a guardrail — it warns, it doesn't block — because minimum wages are state- and role-specific and you may have a valid reason.
Tax Declaration window
Settings → Tax Declaration opens and closes the period when employees can submit their investment declarations and upload proofs for income tax.
- Open the window and employees can choose their tax regime and declare investments (like insurance, PPF, and rent) on their tax page so less tax is deducted through the year.
- Close it around the proof deadline so declarations lock before year-end filing.
The TDS page covers how declarations flow into each month's tax deduction.
Support Access
Settings → Support Access is a single toggle that decides whether Webelio Support may sign in to your account to help you.
- Leave it off and no one outside your organisation can see your data.
- Turn it on only while you need hands-on help, then turn it back off.
- Every support sign-in is recorded in an audit log, so you always have a record of who accessed your account and when.
Switch Support Access on just before a support call and off again after. That way help is available exactly when you want it and never longer.
