Checking in & out

If your company tracks attendance through Webelio, you mark the start and end of your work day with a tap. Here's how.

The check-in button

Open My Dashboard. Near the top you'll see a Check In button.

  1. When you start work, click Check In. Webelio saves the time.
  2. When you finish, the button becomes Check Out. Click it to end your day.

That's it. Your hours are worked out from those two times. If your company tracks breaks, you'll also see Start break and End break buttons — use them when you step away, so your break time isn't counted as work.

info

Your day's status (present, half-day, and so on) is settled when you check out, based on how long you worked. So remember to check out before you leave.

Checking in from your phone

Webelio has a mobile app. You can check in and out from it just like on the computer.

Why the app may ask for your location

If your company has turned this on, the app asks permission to read your location (GPS) when you check in or check out. This lets your company confirm you're at the workplace.

  • Allow location access when the app asks.
  • Some companies only check location on check-in, some on check-out, some on both — you don't need to worry about which; the app will prompt when it needs it.

Your location is only read at the moment you punch. It isn't tracked through the day.

One phone per account

For security, your account links to one mobile device. The first phone you log in on becomes your registered phone. If you try to log in on a different phone, Webelio blocks it until HR resets it (see below).

If your check-in is refused

Sometimes a punch won't go through. Webelio tells you why. Here's what each message means and what to do.

Location requiredLocation is switched off on your phone.Turn on location (GPS) for the Webelio app in your phone settings, then try again.
Outside the allowed areaYou're too far from the workplace.Move to the workplace and try again. If you're genuinely on site, tell HR — the location may need adjusting.

tip

Got a new phone? Just ask HR to reset your mobile login. Once they do, the next phone you log in on becomes your registered device. Your web login and your data are untouched.

If a punch was missed or wrong for another reason, you can ask HR to correct the day — see Your attendance.
